Saskatoon Public Schools is hiring a Cree Language Teacher to inspire students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. This position starts on August 26, 2026, for fluent Cree speakers.

As part of Saskatoon Public Schools, you will have the chance to instruct students in the Cree language, including courses Cree 9, 10, 20 & 30 at Mount Royal Collegiate. Candidates are required to hold a Saskatchewan "Professional A" teacher's certificate and must register with the SPTRB. Applications from Indigenous candidates are particularly welcomed to foster diversity.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Cree language courses to diverse learners
• Create engaging and culturally relevant lesson materials
• Assess and track student performance effectively




• Work with fellow educators to implement cultural initiatives
• Maintain and enhance personal teaching skills

Requirements:
• Fluent in the Cree language is essential
• Saskatchewan teaching certification is mandatory
• Previous teaching experience preferred
• Provide three valid professional references
• Advocate for Indigenous perspectives in education
