Vertex is currently hiring a full-time 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic in Dawson Creek, BC. This role centers on providing maintenance for semi-trucks and trailers, ensuring their effective operation.

As a valued member of our team, you will utilize your 3-4 years of mechanic experience, particularly in hydraulic and diesel engine repairs. You will work autonomously, diagnosing problems and performing necessary repairs. This position blends hands-on mechanical work with a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out scheduled maintenance on heavy-duty equipment
• Identify and repair mechanical issues in vehicles
• Efficiently operate and maintain hand tools
• Document and report all work performed
• Provide troubleshooting and emergency repair solutions

Requirements:
• 3-4 years as a Heavy Duty Mechanic preferred
• Proficient in hydraulic and diesel repairs
• Class 5 License with an excellent driving record
• Valid First Aid and H2S alive safety certificates considered beneficial
• Positive physical condition to perform tasks
