Join Health Sciences North as a full time Addictions and Mental Health Worker, dedicated to supporting individuals with mental health and substance use concerns. This role involves providing comprehensive assessments and therapeutic group facilitation.

This temporary position is open from September 2026 to October 2027, where you’ll play an integral part in a multidisciplinary team focused on patient care. Your responsibilities will cover assessments, care plan collaborations, and community referrals while employing trauma-informed and culturally sensitive practices. Engage with patients by promoting coping strategies and guiding them through therapies and recovery programs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide psychosocial support to patients




• Conduct comprehensive assessments and care planning
• Collaborate for effective service referrals
• Develop and lead psychoeducational group sessions
• Ensure timely documentation of client progress

Requirements:
• At least two years of relevant experience
• Diploma in Health or Social Services
• Required certifications in BCLS and NVCI
• Proven group facilitation skills
• Strong time management and communication skills
