The role of an Engineering Graduate is to work as a team member with intermediate engineers, senior engineers and technologists in project teams of all sizes. You should be able to evaluate, select, specify, and engineer systems or products for a project. You will perform a variety of tasks which may include calculations, field work, coordination of tasks, and meeting attendance and recording.
In general, this role will assist the more senior engineers/designers of the team by performing the routine aspects of civil engineering assignments and may assist in the analysis of proposed projects.




Your Key Responsibilities Perform civil engineering design tasks which may include preparing engineering drawings, hydraulic system calculations, pipe design calculations, engineering reports, preparing applications for regulatory agencies.
Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents, client presentations, client contact and communication pertaining to specific project deliverables.
Attend and assist in client, contractor, stakeholder, and regulatory agency meetings to gain a better understanding of client goals, project requirements, site assessments, key challenges, coordination requirements.
Assist in the development of design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
Recognize when technical problems are developing and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
Assist with the development of job specific discipline specifications.
Assist in the evaluation and selection of civil systems and materials.
Participate in value engineering and basic cost estimating.
Assist in the review of shop drawings and submittals, respond to request for information, prepare site observation reports, and perform other contract administration tasks.
Conduct part-time and full-time construction review services as required by the authority having jurisdiction.
