What you will do Deliver evidence-based nursing care to prisoners in line with NMC standards, NHS governance requirements, and local clinical policies.




Perform reception screening and health assessments for new arrivals, pinpointing immediate healthcare needs and safeguarding concerns.
Manage long-term conditions, minor illnesses, wound care, medication administration, and routine health clinics.
Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies and incidents across the prison estate, ensuring the health and safety of the prison population.
Person Specification Qualifications Registered Adult Nurse (RGN) qualification with current NMC registration.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Immediate Life Support certification or willingness to obtain.
Experience Prior experience as a Registered General Nurse in primary care, community, urgent care, NHS hospital, or secure healthcare settings.
Proven capability in managing complex physical health needs and vulnerable patient groups.
Registration and Compliance Maintain an active NMC registration without restrictions.
