The Winter Roads Labourer is responsible for supporting the construction and maintenance of municipal roads, ditches, sidewalks, water, sewer, and sanitation services.
Responsibilities winter control operations
installation and removal of snow fencing
traffic control
safety inspections
accurate record keeping
Key Qualifications OSSD or equivalent Minimum of 6 months’ experience
Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License with DZ Endorsement
Previous road maintenance experience would be an asset
Technical knowledge of safe work practices
Ability to operate hand tools and equipment
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work
Ability to communicate effectively
Teamwork and cooperation
This is a full-time, seasonal position working from October 2026 through to April 2027. The position works 40 hours per week. The wage range is $31.29 per hour with eligibility for the OMERS Pension Plan.
