One of our manufacturing clients in GTA region is looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team.
Pay - $100K - $120K
Duties & Responsibilities Analyze and navigate legacy control logic, software, and system architectures.
Develop control models using MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape.
Develop hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical plant models for control-system validation.
Support SIL, PIL, and HIL testing.
Support the development and integration of embedded control systems.
Create technical documentation, test procedures, and validation plans.
Participate in design reviews to identify technical issues and reduce project risks.
Perform in-house testing and on-vehicle commissioning.
Provide diagnostics and troubleshooting support for customer and field issues.
Travel to customer sites as required.
Skills & Experience Bachelor s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering,



Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in control systems development.
Solid proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape.
Experience with model-based design and SIL/PIL/HIL testing.
Experience with Electronic Control Units (ECUs); TTControl experience is an asset.
Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab.
Experience with J1939/CAN communication protocols.
Knowledge of ISO 26262 or other functional safety standards is an asset.
Familiarity with microcontrollers, sensors, motors, electronics, and hydraulics.
Experience in automotive, aerospace, defense, or other safety-critical industries is an asset.
