We are looking for an Senior Accountant to join our team in Pickering, Ontario on a Long-term Contract basis.

This position is well suited to a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting specialist who can step into a rapid-paced environment, support daily finance operations, and contribute during a busy year-end period.

The successful candidate will work across multiple accounting functions, provide guidance to AP and AR team members, and help maintain accurate financial records in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities: Handle a broad range of general accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and month-end adjustments.

Review daily banking activity, track cash moving in and out of accounts, and support cash flow monitoring for accounts payable operations.

Prepare and reconcile bank accounts on a recurring basis, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.





Support accounts receivable processes by applying cash receipts, investigating variances, and assisting with account reconciliations.

Review customer accounts on credit hold and release orders when payment status and credit limits have been properly assessed.

Provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks when team members are away or volumes increase.

Assist with payroll-related journal entries, foreign exchange entries, sales tax remittances, and monthly allocation postings.

Act as an accessible point of support for AP and AR clerks by answering questions and helping resolve day-to-day accounting issues.

Contribute to year-end activities and help maintain accuracy while working across multiple accounting systems, including support for future system implementation efforts.
