About theRole
We areseeking compassionate and dedicated Community Support Workers to supportindividuals with diverse abilities, complex needs, and high behavioral supportrequirements. In this role, you will provide person-centered care, assist withdaily living activities, promote independence, support community inclusion, andhelp create a safe and positive setting through respectful andtrauma-informed approaches.

Dutiesand Responsibilities:

Provideperson-centered care and support to individuals with diverse physical,developmental, and mental health needs, promoting dignity, independence, andoverall well-being.

Assistclients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting,peri-care, continence care, and changing, while respecting each individual'sprivacy, dignity, and preferences.

Supportclients with household tasks, including meal planning and preparation, laundry,light housekeeping, grocery shopping, and maintaining a clean and safe livingenvironment.

Supportclients in participating in community, recreational and social activities toencourage inclusion, build life skills, and enhance quality of life.

Implementindividualized care plans, monitor clients' physical, emotional, and behavioralwell-being, and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate teammembers.

Maintainaccurate documentation, including daily progress notes, medication records,



andincident reports, while following organizational policies and health and safetyprocedures.

About You
Qualifications

CommunitySupport Worker (CSW) Diploma or equivalent education and/or relevantexperience.

ValidClass 5 BC Driver’s Licence

CurrentFirst Aid with CPR C

ValidTB Test

MANDTCertification (or willingness to obtain)

SatisfactoryCriminal Record Check

Skillsand Abilities

Experiencewith FASD, ADHD, OCD, autism spectrum, aggressive, challenging, andself-harming behaviour considered an asset.

Experiencein a medical setting with G/J-tube and/or trach care knowledge an asset.

Abilityto support individuals with personal care needs, including bathing, grooming,toileting, peri-care, and mobility assistance.

Abilityto assist with household tasks, including meal preparation, laundry, andmaintaining a safe and supportive living environment.

Abilityto work independently while also collaborating effectively within a teamenvironment.

Strongunderstanding of person-centered care, trauma-informed practices, and positivebehavior support strategies.
