About the Role Our client is seeking a meticulous and skilled Mechanical Design Drafter to join their engineering support team in Kimberley . This role focuses on translating engineering concepts and designs into precise technical drawings and documentation. You will work closely with mechanical engineers, ensuring that all drafted components and assemblies meet exact specifications and standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to significant projects and develop their drafting expertise within a qualified setting in the Northern Cape.
Key Responsibilities Produce detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and models for mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software .
Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and company specifications.
Create and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and revision control logs.
Assist engineers in the design process by providing drafted representations of concepts.
Prepare documentation for manufacturing, assembly,



and inspection purposes.
Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to resolve any drafting-related queries.
Requirements National Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent qualification.
2-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Drafter or similar role.
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;).
Attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
