About the Role Our client is seeking a proactive and supportive Career Counselor to join their student services department in Kimberley . This role is dedicated to assisting students in exploring career options, developing career management skills, and preparing for the transition from education to the workforce. You will provide personalized guidance, facilitate workshops, and connect students with relevant resources and opportunities. The ideal candidate possesses excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of the job market, and a passion for empowering individuals to achieve their career aspirations within Northern Cape .
Key Responsibilities Conduct individual counseling sessions to assess student interests, skills, values, and career goals.
Provide guidance on career exploration, job searching strategies, resume writing, and interview preparation.
Develop and deliver workshops on career development topics, including labor market trends and networking.
Maintain and update resources on career paths, educational programs, and internship opportunities.
Collaborate with faculty, employers,



and alumni to create meaningful career development opportunities for students.
Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Human Resources, or a related field.
A Master's degree is preferred.
Proven experience in career counseling, coaching, or a related advisory role.
Strong knowledge of career development theories and practices, and the local job market.
Excellent active listening, communication, and motivational skills.
Proficiency in using career assessment tools and online resources.
