In this full-time position, you will be responsible for all aspects of running our farm located near Fenelon Falls. Work alongside a dedicated team, implementing essential crop plans and overseeing sustainable practices to enhance our community-supported agriculture program. Candidates must be willing to tackle the physical demands of farming and effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead daily farm operations and vegetable production
• Develop crop plans and manage harvesting
• Operate irrigation systems and farm machinery
• Train and mentor a team of young farmers
• Build partnerships with CSA and local markets
Requirements:
• 2 years of market gardening experience required
• Strong understanding of organic practices
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability to handle manual labor tasks
