EIPS is recruiting a temporary, full-time Grade 1 Teacher at Heritage Hills Elementary.

Heritage Hills Elementary serves approximately 525 students in kindergarten the Grade 6, with 24 teaching staff and 10 support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB and asa dual-track school offers programming in English and French Immersion. The school strives to help every child be a successful, self-motivated learner in a safe and caring school environment. The goal is to empower students to be lifelong learners in a changing world.

Commencing September 28, 2026 until October 26, 2026, with a possibility of extension

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education degree

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Excellent communication skills in both French and English

Effective organization and classroom management skills

Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged

Excellent verbal and written skills

Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
