Reports to:
The Early Childhood Educator reports to the Program Manager.

Here’s how you will make a positive impact on a day-to-day basis:

Plan, implement, and evaluate activities and experiences to meet individual and group needs of all children and families of a childcare program.

Guide and care for a group of children ages 3 months to 3 to 5 years old

Encourage learning and develop positive self-concepts for children





Ensure a healthy and safe environment for children

Maintain effective and cooperative teamwork and communication

Maintain positive and supportive relationships with parents and families

In addition to being a wonderful and positive person & team player, you must have:

ECE basic | ECE Infant / Toddler &/or Special Needs Certification

Childcare First Aid and Food Safe Level 1

Well-developed interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication

Robust knowledge and awareness of:

Emergent curriculum and the BC Early Learning Framework

Developmental needs of children

Family engagement strategies and parenting issues and needs

Guiding and caring strategies

Knowledge of broader childcare field and its role in the community

Additional skills and experiences may include:

Childcare experience working in an inclusive childcare setting

Second Language

Terms of Employment:

Salary: $27.85 to $28.74 per hour plus employer-paid health and welfare benefits. In addition, you may be eligible for a $6 per hour Provincial ECE Wage Enhancement.

Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Starting: As soon as possible

Location: MULTIPLE LOCATIONS DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER

This position is open to all applicants and is unionized with BCGEU.
