St. Francis of Assisi Junior/Senior high school in Slave Lake, Alberta along with St. Mary of the Lake School in Slave invites applications for the following:
Full time 1.0 FTE Academic Interventionist with a focus on Student support . beginning as soon as possible until June 29, 2027
Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications and experience in the following areas:
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
Commitment to teaching in a school which permeates the Catholic Faith
Commitment to enhancing and building a positive learning environment for all students
Commitment to working in a collaborative environment
Planning and implementing Literacy and Numeracy interventions
Providing wrap-around support with a focus on building positive family and student relationships
Student wellness with a focus on goal-setting and building a growth-mindset with students
Working with Indigenous and English Acquisition Learners
The successful candidate will work with students ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in 2 community schools approximately half time at each site
