About the Role Our client is looking for a vigilant Cyber Security Analyst to join their Security Operations Center (SOC) in Kimberley. This role is vital for monitoring security systems, detecting threats, and responding to incidents to protect the organization's network and data. You will work with state-of-the-art security tools and collaborate with a team of dedicated security professionals. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring or early-career security professional to develop critical skills in a hands-on environment within the Northern Cape.
Key Responsibilities Monitor security alerts and events from various sources, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection tools.
Analyze potential security threats and anomalies, escalating and documenting findings accurately.
Perform initial triage and containment of security incidents according to established procedures.
Assist in the development and refinement of security monitoring rules and incident response playbooks.




Contribute to threat intelligence gathering and analysis to proactively identify emerging risks.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in a security operations center (SOC) or similar IT security role.
Familiarity with SIEM platforms, network protocols, and common security threats.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
