We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established client in the Greater Vancouver area, in the manufacturing space, for a Safety Associate to join their Quality and Safety team.
This is a hands-on role supporting the company's occupational health and safety program - from safety training and incident investigations to audits, inspections, and day-to-day safety communication across the plant.
Key Responsibilities Support the development and review of safety programs, procedures, and risk assessments
Help investigate and document workplace injuries and incidents, and track corrective actions
Conduct jobsite safety inspections and monitor follow-up on findings
Assist with the company's annual safety audit
Deliver safety orientations and training sessions
Communicate safety policy updates and changes across departments




Track safety data - training completions, inspection results, incident and near-miss reports
Schedule and support monthly joint health and safety committee meetings and inspections
Keep safety certifications, signage, and safety data sheets current
What You Bring Diploma or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, or an equivalent mix of education and experience
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a strong asset
Solid understanding of workers' compensation legislation and OH&S; regulations
Comfortable with MS Office and confident communicating across all levels of an organization
Experience developing or supporting a safety program is a plus
