Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Payroll Administrator for a top Canadian retail client.
This candidate will join a collaborative payroll team supporting approximately 9,000 employees across multiple provinces.
The role is responsible for end-to-end payroll administration, including processing bi-weekly payroll, managing employee records, handling payroll adjustments, responding to employee inquiries, and ensuring compliance with applicable payroll legislation.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, thrives in a high-volume environment, and enjoys partnering with HR, Finance, managers, and employees to deliver accurate and timely payroll services.

Day-to-Day: Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 9,000 employees across four provinces
Enter and maintain new hire, employee change, and payroll transaction data
Verify and reconcile payroll input and output for accuracy
Process commissions, bonuses, retroactive pay, and adjustments
Review and approve sick time, vacation pay, leave payments, and WCB transactions
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies with managers and employees
Administer garnishments, third-party demands, and legislated deductions
Prepare and process Records of Employment (ROEs)
Support year-end payroll activities, including T4 preparation
Process payroll remittances including RRSPs, advantages, charitable deductions, and WCB payments
Administer employee deductions and benefit-related adjustments
Respond to employee and manager payroll inquiries
Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation
Maintain payroll records, documentation, and system data

Skills and Requirements
3 years UKG Kronos experience
Minimum 2 years of payroll administration experience in a computerized payroll environment
Experience processing high-volume payroll
Experience maintaining employee payroll records
Basic understanding of payroll legislation and accounting principles
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Experience with People
Soft or Workday, or other enterprise payroll systems
