**Mechanical & Robotics Technician (RME)**
**Location: Burnaby, BC**
**Shift: Any 10-Hour Shift**
**Wage: $28.25/hr**
**About the Role**
We're looking for a hands-on
**Mechanical & Robotics Technician**
to support a highly automated distribution facility.

In this role, you'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced conveyor, robotic, and material handling systems to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

**What You'll Do**
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on conveyor systems, robotics, and automated equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs to minimize downtime
Support PLC troubleshooting and basic programming-related activities
Complete inspections, maintenance records, PM documentation, and work orders
Perform battery maintenance and battery change-outs as required
Enter downtime and maintenance data into tracking systems
Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies
Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to maximize equipment reliability and performance
**What We're Looking For**
**Required Qualifications**
2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
Experience maintaining and repairing conveyor systems or material handling equipment
Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities
Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Experience using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting equipment failures
Understanding of Lockout/Tagout safety practices
Basic PLC troubleshooting experience
Ability to accurately complete maintenance documentation and work orders
Willingness to work any 10-hour shift schedule
**Preferred Qualifications**
Experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, automation, or industrial environments
Exposure to robotics and high-speed automated equipment
Technical diploma, apprenticeship, military training, or related maintenance certification
Mechatronics experience
Knowledge of PLCs and industrial controls
Experience with spare parts inventory management

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
