**Job Title: Quality Control**
**Job Description**
This role focuses on ensuring that granola bar products consistently meet strict quality standards throughout the production process.

You will work from digital work orders on tablets, perform a variety of quality checks on the production line, and document results accurately.

The position combines hands-on inspection, basic testing, and close collaboration with quality assurance to maintain product integrity and food safety.
**Responsibilities**
Work from work orders on tablets (IPADs) to track production and verify that all granola bars on the line meet established quality standards.

Collect product samples for required quality and safety testing according to defined procedures.

Inspect product film seals to ensure packaging is properly sealed and free from defects.

Check and monitor date codes on products on the production lines, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Report any product or process issues promptly to the quality assurance team for investigation and resolution.

Monitor all ongoing quality tests on the line until a line changeover occurs, ensuring continuous compliance.

During line changeovers, reset and set up x‑ray equipment according to the specific product requirements, then run and document x‑ray tests.

Perform seal checks by taking product from the line, placing it in a vacuum chamber filled with water, and testing for bubbles to confirm seal integrity.
**Essential Skills**
Microbiology or biotechnology education, providing a foundational understanding of food safety and product quality.

At least 6 months of experience working in quality control or production environments, ideally in food or consumer goods.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to notice and address small deviations in product appearance, packaging, or coding.

Ability to show initiative by proactively identifying issues and suggesting improvements in quality processes.

Effective English communication skills, both verbal and written, to document findings and interact with team members.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.60 - $18.60/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
