**Job Title: Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector**
**Job Description**
This role performs non-destructive testing inspections using Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MAG) to ensure the quality and integrity of aerospace production parts and sub-assemblies.

You will follow detailed work instructions for cleaning, etching, and inspecting components, accurately document findings in detailed reports, and set up and calibrate inspection equipment in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
**Responsibilities**
Perform non-destructive testing inspections using Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MAG) on aerospace production detail parts and sub-assemblies.

Review, interpret, and follow work instructions related to cleaning, etching, and inspecting components to ensure proper process execution.

Set up and calibrate NDT equipment and related tools in accordance with established procedures and standards.

Conduct inspections in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications such as NAS 410, BSS 7698, and BAERD GEN-012.

Accurately document inspection results and write detailed reports of findings, including any nonconformities or defects identified.

Maintain clear and accurate test documentation and records to support quality control and quality assurance requirements.

Verify that parts meet quality inspection criteria and support overall quality control and quality assurance activities.

Apply blueprint reading and interpretation skills to understand aerospace production detail parts and sub-assemblies prior to inspection.

Ensure proper cleaning and etching of components before inspection, following specified procedures and work instructions.

Differentiate colors and indications during FPI and MAG inspections to identify defects and evaluate component integrity.

Follow safety and quality procedures at all times while operating NDT equipment and handling inspected parts.

Collaborate with quality and production teams to communicate inspection results and support continuous improvement in inspection processes.
**Essential Skills**
Level 2 NDT certification obtained through prior employment.

Minimum of 3+ years of experience working in a non-destructive testing (NDT) department.

Hands-on experience performing FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) and/or MAG (Magnetic Particle Inspection).

Ability to differentiate colors reliably to identify indications during FPI and MAG inspections.

Strong knowledge of non-destructive testing methods and practices, including NDT inspection and non-destructive test procedures.

Experience in quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed work instructions related to cleaning, etching, and inspecting components.

Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision, with the ability to successfully pass a Jaeger eye exam with corrected or uncorrected vision.

Familiarity with codes, standards, and specifications such as NAS 410, BSS 7698, and BAERD GEN-012.

Blueprint reading and interpretation skills related to aerospace production detail parts and sub-assemblies.





Ability to set up and calibrate NDT equipment and related tools accurately.

Strong documentation skills for writing detailed reports and maintaining inspection records.

**Work Setting**
This position is based in a structured aerospace production and inspection environment using specialized NDT equipment for FPI and MAG testing.

Two shift options are available: a day shift running Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and a night shift running Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Work involves close visual inspection of components, frequent reference to blueprints and work instructions, and adherence to established quality and safety procedures.

The environment emphasizes precision, cleanliness for proper cleaning and etching processes, and consistent documentation practices, with appropriate attire required to work safely around production and inspection equipment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vaughan, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
