Ideal Can is looking for a Procurement and Logistics Technician to join our team at our Saint-Apollinaire facility. We are the largest manufacturer of food cans in Canada, with an additional facility in Chatham, Ontario.
The Procurement And Logistics Technician’s Job Description Manage inventory in the computer system
Conduct physical inventory counts
Manage and optimize inventory levels
Issue purchase orders according to requirements
Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods by land, sea, and air
Resolve issues related to deliveries, damaged goods, and supplier non-conformities
Plan and communicate transportation schedules for customer deliveries
Assign loads to various carriers




Manage unexpected situations and last-minute changes
Qualifications DEC in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or an equivalent field
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Very valuable knowledge of French and intermediate English
Knowledge of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is an asset
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfortable working with computer systems
Detail-oriented and thorough
Strong organizational skills
Autonomous and self-motivated
Ability to work effectively under pressure
