**HVAC/R Technician**

**About the Role**
As an
**HVAC/R Technician** , you will be responsible for delivering a combination of field service, maintenance, and project-based work on commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems throughout the Ottawa region.

This position offers exposure to diverse equipment and advanced technologies, including chillers, refrigeration systems, BAS/DDC controls, and VFDs, making it ideal for a technician seeking technical challenges, variety, and long-term career growth.
**Key Responsibilities**
Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC/R equipment, including chillers.

Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.

Work with BAS/DDC controls, VFDs, and related building systems.

Respond to service calls and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.

Complete service documentation and maintain a strong commitment to safety.

Support apprentice development and share technical knowledge with team members.

Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
**Qualifications**
5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC/R service experience.

Valid
**313A or 313D Refrigeration License** .

Valid
**G2 Gas Technician License** .

Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record.

Strong troubleshooting skills across refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, and controls systems.

Experience servicing commercial and industrial equipment, including chillers.

Knowledge of BAS/DDC controls and VFDs.

Ability to work independently while delivering exceptional customer service.

Eligibility to obtain Reliability Security Clearance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ottawa, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $64.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Ottawa,ON.
