Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior FTM Developer & Technical Consulting Lead to support the modernization and operation of enterprise payment processing platforms built on IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM).
This role combines hands-on FTM development with technical leadership, focusing on high-value payment processing, ISO 20022, SWIFT, and the migration of legacy FTM environments to Red Hat Open
Shift.
The ideal candidate will lead architecture discovery, modernization planning, and technical delivery while mentoring a team of architects and senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support payment solutions on IBM FTM.
- Build integrations using ACE/IIB, ESQL, IBM MQ, REST APIs, and DB2.
- Manage payment processing across ISO 20022, SWIFT, and FTM workflows.
- Lead discovery and assessment of existing FTM environments.
- Define architecture, migration strategies, and modernization roadmaps.
- Drive migration from legacy FTM platforms to Open
Shift-based solutions.
- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and stakeholder engagements.
- Mentor developers and architects through design and code reviews.
- Promote AI-enabled development, automation, observability, and operational excellence.

Skills and Requirements
• 7+ years of hands-on IBM FTM development experience.
• Strong expertise in high-value payments, Lynx, SWIFT, and ISO 20022.
• Experience with RSA/FSM modeling and payment workflow orchestration.
• Strong ACE/IIB, ESQL, IBM MQ, DB2, and SQL skills.
• Experience with APIs, event-driven architecture, XML, JSON, and XSDs.
• Strong understanding of Linux, Git/Bitbucket, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience leading large-scale FTM modernization or migration initiatives.
• Knowledge of Red Hat Open
Shift, containerization, Helm, Config
Maps, and cloud-native deployments.
• Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and technical leadership experience.
Ability to mentor teams and deliver solutions in regulated environments. • Experience with ACH, AFT, ACSS, CPA standards, or low-value payment platforms.
• Experience with Lynx implementations or ISO 20022 migration programs.
• IBM Transformation Extender (ITX/WTX) experience.
• Exposure to observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Instana, or ELK.
• Experience integrating AI platforms into engineering or operational workflows.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Previous experience within banking, payments, or financial services organizations.
