Join us in Gold River as a Language Acquisition Support Worker (LASW), dedicated to enhancing communication for Deaf/hard of hearing students through American Sign Language (ASL). This role focuses on both ASL instruction and educational support.

You will collaborate with the Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide ASL instruction to K-12 students, facilitating effective communication and language development. In this versatile position, you’ll prepare educational materials and support students in various settings for a fulfilling learning experience throughout the school calendar.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach ASL to Deaf and hard of hearing students
• Model language for effective communication
• Develop and prepare educational resources




• Help transport students to necessary activities
• Maintain confidentiality of student information

Requirements:
• At least Grade 12 education or equivalent
• ASL proficiency at Level 4 or higher
• Relevant experience in education or early language teaching
• Competency in English for planning and reporting
• Ability to adapt to students' diverse needs
