Position Summary

When disasters happen, Remediation Technicians at On Side are truly on 'your side'. Asbestos and mold can pop-up anywhere and requires special knowledge and experience to deal with. Remediation Technicians can perform remediation services while protecting the health and safety of workers and clients.

Compensation

Salary Range: $23-$25/hour

What You’ll Do

Ensuring a secure work area from asbestos and mould by knowing how to remove and remediate potential dangers from the work site

Identifying and disposing of asbestos and mould contaminated materials

What You Bring

1-2+ years experience in asbestos/mould remediation

Demolition and basic carpentry skills to build containment is a strong asset

Ability to perform work following procedure and legislation

Clean shaven face (if applicable) for every shift (for full mask fit)

Willingness to wear full PPE as required for duration of shift

Cleanliness of site, vehicle, and tools

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow scope of work





Organized with a good sense of time— you're rarely late and know where all your tools are

Physically fit— remediation can, at times, include heavy lifting (50+lbs)

Comfortable in confined spaces

Friendly and enjoys working in a team!

Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps and software)

Valid driver’s licence and a clean criminal record (we do check)

Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you'll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.
