Compensation: $51,700 CAD OTE ($47,200 base salary + $4,500 variable bonus)

Role Overview
As a Junior Educator Recruitment Associate, you will be on the front lines of our hiring operations, connecting qualified substitute teachers and paraprofessionals with classrooms across the US. Working closely with our recruitment team, you will learn to screen inbound applicants, conduct structured phone interviews, and support onboarding workflows. This position offers a direct path into recruitment, sales, and HR within a high-growth EdTech company.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Screening & Interviews: Contact inbound educators upon sign-up, evaluate qualifications and placement preferences, and lead initial phone screens before transferring candidates to senior recruiters.

Mission Advocacy: Clearly convey Zen Educate's value proposition to build educator engagement and guide candidates through the hiring pipeline.

Pipeline Collaboration: Partner with recruitment consultants to coordinate candidate handoffs, track document verification, and maintain compliant onboarding workflows.

Staffing Delivery: Support fulfillment targets for partner schools facing critical staffing shortages.

Process & Technology Optimization: Adopt and test internal tools, applicant tracking systems, and AI-enabled software to optimize sourcing and communication cycles.

Operational Initiative: Identify workflow bottlenecks and contribute continuous improvements to team processes.

Qualifications & Core Competencies

Relevant Background: Prior experience in high-touch communication settings (customer service, hospitality, retail, recruitment, tutoring, or performing arts) is welcome; recent graduates eager to build careers in recruitment or HR are strongly encouraged to apply.

Communication Skills: Confident telephone manner and clear written correspondence,



with comfort handling a high volume of outbound/inbound calls.

Adaptability & Drive: High resilience in a fast-paced environment, with strong intrinsic motivation to achieve individual and team metrics.

Technical Aptitude: Comfort learning up-to-date SaaS platforms, recruitment systems, and emerging productivity tools.

Collaborative Mindset: Team-first attitude with effective time management and active listening skills.
