NACG is looking for Excavator Operator''s to work on a remote mining site in the Fort McMurray area.

You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.

Site: Syncrude-Aurora

Schedule: 14x7 OR 10x4; 12 hour shifts; Days only, paid for 12.

Accommodations: Not provided

Transportation: Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after shifts)Overtime: Provided after 8 hours a day or 44 hours a week

The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.

What You'll Be Doing

Operate various sizes and models of excavators as required to complete assigned work

Read stakes and be able to place a grade as needed

Ensure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies, operating standards and procedures Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPEReviewing safe work plans/ hazard assessment with prior to job commencement and follow all requirements

Complete equipment/ area walk-arounds, safety checks and field level risk assessments and ensure all equipment is running properly

Report any necessary or anticipated repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors immediately

Report all incidents, near misses or damage immediately.

What Makes You the ONEMinimum 3 years of experience operating excavator.

Minimum 3 year experience in a mining and/or civil.

Minimum 3 years underground piping/ ditching experience.





Ability to cut and maintain grades and slopes

All successful candidates must: Be proficient in English, both verbally and written

Have a valid Class 5 Driver's License Have experience as requested as mentioned above

Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites

Undergo and successfully pass the following testing: Breath Alcohol Test

Urine Drug Test

Fitness-to-Work Assessment

Audiometric Testing

Vision Screening

Criminal Record Check

Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.

All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:CSO or BSO, Hydrogen Sulfide Awareness, Silica Awareness, Field Ergonomics, Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness, OHS Certifications

Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver's License

Copy of recent Driver's AbstractVOID cheque/direct deposit form

After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.
