CancerCare Manitoba is looking for an Indigenous Designated Psychosocial Clinician II to support oncology patients through expert psychosocial counseling in Winnipeg. This role prioritizes trauma-informed, culturally competent care.

As part of the Psychosocial Oncology team, you will provide essential clinical assessments, interventions, and counseling to both adult and pediatric patients. Your understanding of Indigenous health issues and commitment to equity will directly influence the quality of care and support provided. Collaborating with various stakeholders, you will work towards improving access for marginalized groups.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement clinical assessments and psychosocial interventions
• Counsel patients considering their cultural backgrounds




• Collaborate with healthcare providers and community services
• Deliver training and educational sessions within the department
• Foster an inclusive and respectful care environment

Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field
• At least three years of clinical counseling experience
• Completion of training in Indigenous cultural safety
• Understanding of the impacts of colonization preferred
• Must maintain appropriate skilled registration
