CompanyOverview BoundaryGroup is a growing family of industrial manufacturing, machining, miningsafety, and specialized service companies operating throughout Western Canada. Our B.C. Finance team supports operating companies in Delta, Langley, NorthVancouver, and Port Coquitlam.
PositionSummary BoundaryGroup is seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant to provide full-cycleaccounting and financial reporting support across multiple operating companies. Reporting directly to the Regional Controller, this role works closely with Finance and operational leaders to maintain accurate financial information, resolve discrepancies, strengthen internal controls, and support businessdecisions.
Thesuccessful candidate will hold a CPA designation or be actively working towardone and will bring practical experience with month-end close, journal entries,reconciliations, financial reporting, account analysis, and accounting systems. The role also provides exposure to budgeting, forecasting, payroll support,financial due diligence, acquisitions, and business integration.
KeyResponsibilities Perform full-cycle accounting for assigned companies or business units.
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, allocations, and adjustingentries.
Complete bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, generalledger reconciliations, government remittances, and intercompanyreconciliations.
Support accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
Investigate accounting discrepancies, identify underlying causes, andresolve outstanding items.
Support and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes,including transaction review and issue resolution.
Support biweekly payroll processing, including reviewing hours andresolving discrepancies with site managers.
Prepare supporting schedules, account analyses, and internal financialand operational reports.
Review financial information for accuracy, completeness, and appropriatesupporting documentation.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financialanalysis.
Support financial due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, andother business transactions.
Review and organize financial information during due diligence andassist with the accounting and financial integration of acquired businesses.
Respond to accounting inquiries from employees, customers, vendors,auditors, and other business partners.
Collaborate with Finance and operational teams across multiple BoundaryGroup companies.
Support improvements to accounting processes, internal controls,systems, and reporting.
RequiredQualifications Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or arelated field.
CPA designation or active progression toward completing the CPA program.
Three or more years of progressive accounting experience, includinghands-on responsibility for full-cycle accounting.
Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, month-endclose schedules, financial reports, and account analyses.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, andsupporting documentation requirements.
Ability to analyze financial information, identify inconsistencies,investigate causes, and follow issues through to resolution.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience using accounting or ERPsoftware.
Strong analytical,
problem-solving, organizational, and communicationskills.
Ability to manage competing priorities, meet reporting deadlines, andwork independently.
Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential financial andbusiness information.
PreferredQualifications Exposure to financial due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, businessintegration, audit, transaction services, or a related area.
Experience in manufacturing, industrial services, public practice, or amulti-company environment.
Experience with Power BI or other data analytics tools.
WorkLocation and Travel Therole will initially be based in Delta during onboarding. Once the successfulcandidate is able to work independently, the primary work location may be Deltaor North Vancouver, depending on the candidate’s location and business needs. Occasional travel to Boundary Group locations throughout Metro Vancouver,including Langley and Port Coquitlam, is required.
Compensationand Benefits Annual salary of $70,000 to $80,000, based on experience,qualifications, and CPA progression.
