Northern College is seeking a part-time Electrical Technician in Timmins to provide critical technical support in their electrical programs. This role focuses on ensuring that training devices and laboratories are maintained at a high operational standard.

Reporting to the Dean, you’ll be tasked with equipment maintenance, resolving technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety laws. Moreover, your expertise will enhance the learning experiences of skilled trades programs by managing essential training facilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support and maintain electrical training equipment
• Ensure labs are ready for instructional use
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain records
• Manage compliance with safety regulations

Requirements:
• Three-year diploma or undergraduate degree in Electrical
• At least seven years of relevant hands-on experience
• 309A license preferred
• Solid communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
