Our client, a leading Canadian financial institution, is looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support global money transfer and cross-border payment applications. The role will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze payment flows, support reporting, and lead end-to-end project delivery.

Location: Toronto - Hybrid, minimum 2 days onsite per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end business analysis activities for global money transfer and payment initiatives.
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, process flows, and workflows.
Work with stakeholders to assess current-state processes and define target-state solutions.
Analyze end-to-end payment flows, customer journeys, and downstream systems.
Use SQL for data analysis, validation, investigation, and reconciliation.
Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support business insights and decision-making.
Support UAT, testing, implementation, and defect resolution activities.




Lead project discussions and coordinate with cross-functional business and technology teams.
Track project milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
Must-Have Skills 7+ years of Business Analyst experience.
5+ years of experience with Jira .
2+ years of experience in payments .
4+ years of experience with SQL and Power BI .
Strong understanding of end-to-end payment flows and downstream payment processing systems .
Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation, and UAT.
Robust stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working across business and technology teams.
Knowledge of AI and its business applications .
Nice to Have Banking or financial services experience.
Experience with cross-border payments, money transfers, or multi-currency transactions .
Knowledge of payment rails such as ACH, SWIFT, ISO 20022, Interac, wires, or cards .
Experience with large-scale transformation or technology projects.
Capital markets or banking operations experience.
