Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant- Contractor for a 6-12 month contract. Based in their Southeast Calgary office, this role will support financial operations, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This position offers a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 day remote), free on-site parking, and optional chef-prepared lunches. Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

Manage full-cycle accounting, including journal entry preparation, review, and posting

Monitor, analyze, and reconcile project costs and operating expenses

Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies





Lead quarterly financial reporting, including financial statements, MD&A;, notes, and supporting schedules for TSX-listed and SEC-compliant reporting

Apply U.S. dollar functional currency accounting, including foreign exchange and currency translation requirements

Ensure IFRS and US GAAP compliance through financial analysis, technical accounting research, and audit support

Your strengths include:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

CPA designation is an asset

Well versed in IFRS and U.S. GAAP reporting

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Collaborative, proactive, and self-motivated
