Responsibilities:

Lead process engineering activities on SAGD and thermal oil sands projects
Manage process engineering scope, schedules, deliverables, and priorities
Oversee development of process simulations, heat and material balances, PFDs, and P&IDs;
Support project execution from feasibility studies through commissioning and start-up
Coordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams
Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, risk assessments, and technical discussions
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams
Identify and mitigate technical risks while maintaining quality and safety standards

Requirements:

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
Possess a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
Demonstrate extensive process engineering experience within the oil and gas industry
Bring significant experience supporting SAGD and thermal oil sands projects
Have proven success leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
Show experience within EPCM, consulting, or owner-operator environments
Demonstrate expertise supporting projects from studies and FEED through start-up
Exhibit strong knowledge of Aspen HYSYS, process design, and thermal oil sands facilities
