Take the lead in advancing safety at Aecon as a Safety Lead, based in Hamilton, ON. Your role will focus on the execution and compliance of EHS programs for construction projects.

As a key member of the team, you will report to the EHS Director, ensuring that safety practices are adhered to and that the workforce is well-versed in safety protocols. Collaborate on safety audits, training sessions, and the development of emergency procedures. Your leadership will help foster a robust safety culture that thrives on accountability and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the overarching EHS Program for compliance
• Provide guidance during pre-planning and audits
• Facilitate training on safety standards and emergency preparedness




• Lead site visits focused on assessing safety practices
• Coordinate safety material distribution and PPE management

Requirements:
• Education in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
• At least 5 years of construction safety management experience
• National Construction Safety Officer certification or similar
• Exceptional communication and organization skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
