Role Description The Business Development Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON. This role is responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, managing outbound and inbound leads, and supporting the sales pipeline for ONYX Data & Intelligence.

The individual will conduct market and industry research, prepare and deliver presentations and demos to prospective clients, and assist in crafting compelling proposals and pitches. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining accurate CRM records, coordinating meetings with prospects and partners,



collaborating with the product and analytics teams to align client needs with solutions, and contributing to business development strategies and campaigns.

Qualifications

- Robust presentation skills and experience developing and delivering professional presentations to prospective clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in lead generation activities, including prospecting, outreach, qualification, and pipeline management.
- Ability to conduct structured market research, analyze industry trends, and translate findings into business development opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear written communication, active listening, and professional client engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort working with data-driven products or analytics platforms; familiarity with investment, development finance, or consulting environments is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proactive, self-directed work style with a collaborative approach to working across sales, product, and research teams.
