Training And ExperienceRegistration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant, with recent related medical and/or surgical experience, When applicants have completed this specialty training they will be moved into a regular position within the Specialty department .The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.Skills And AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Demonstrated ability to organize assigned workload and set priorities.Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts, including co-workers, physicians, community agency representatives, patients, residents and families.Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.Island Health Emergency Specialty Education Training Opportunity has two parts:1) Distance Prerequisite Course are required with completion by the end of August - Online courses completion (of BCIT NSER 7110 and NSCC 7150 or online ECG course with PLAR recognition) achieved while continuing in your current job. learners must independently complete these prerequisite courses. Note ECG course must be completed before Theory 1 (NSCC 7110)2) Full-time Compressed Timeframe Training September - December 2026 Theory and clinical courses completion.
