Role Description This is a full time remote role for an Elevator Mechanic based in Ontario, with work performed on customer sites across the region.

The Elevator

Mechanic will install, inspect, maintain, modernize, and repair elevators and lifts in residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, completing safety checks in accordance with regulatory standards, and documenting all work performed.



The role involves coordinating with dispatch and customers to schedule service visits, providing clear updates on job status, and ensuring minimal downtime for elevating devices.

The Elevator

Mechanic will also support modernization projects, follow company safety procedures, and uphold Alliance Elevator’s commitment to high-quality, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

- Strong technical skills in Elevator Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair of elevating devices.
- Hands-on experience with Elevators, including installation, modernization, and servicing of multiple makes and models.
- Ability to perform effective Troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems.
- Working knowledge of Electricity and electrical systems relevant to elevator and lift equipment.
- Valid elevator mechanic license (TSSA or equivalent) and familiarity with applicable safety codes and regulations.
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.
- Comfort with using digital tools for work orders, reporting, and remote coordination.
- Physical capability to perform field work, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces, with adherence to safety procedures.
- Previous experience in elevator or lift industry service roles is an asset; additional trade or technical certifications are beneficial.
