Mincon Canada Western Service Centre is looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in an exciting New Product Introduction (NPI) project.

This is a hands-on opportunity to work directly with new drilling technology, customers and engineering teams across the field.

What you’ll do:

- Develop a strong mechanical understanding of the drilling system
- Support field testing, commissioning and troubleshooting
- Produce engineering drawings for manufacturing
- Perform stress analysis on system components
- Analyze drilling performance and bit life data
- Conduct bit failure mode analysis and prepare performance reports
- Work with engineering and customers to identify product improvements
- Review and make basic changes to CAD models
- Travel extensively, including overnight stays at customer and field locations

What we’re looking for:

- Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma




- 1–3 years of engineering or mechanical experience preferred
- Basic AutoCAD and mechanical drawing skills
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Practical, hands-on approach to engineering
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Valid driver’s licence
