This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.Primary ResponsibilitiesPossess a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction.Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications,



and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documentsAttend coordination meetings and regular construction progress meetings with the Owner and the Contractor.Work with the HDR Project Manager to evaluate project schedules and prepare status reports.Coordinate submittals (shop drawings, samples) reviews and mock-up reviewsWork with the design team to resolve Requests for Information (RFIs), and issue Supplemental Instructions and manage construction Contract ChangesMaintain accurate daily records of the contractor’s daily activities and the work performed, and of the labor, equipment and materials usedPhotograph construction progress and catalog photos for future reference.Review construction materials for Contract complianceReview Contractor pay requests, including stored materials; track progress for certification of paymentConduct observations of the installation and witness acceptance testing of completed equipment and systemsIdentify nonconforming work, develop project punchlists and maintain until correctedAssist with project audit/closeoutWork under general supervision of a Design Project ManagerSupervise and direct the activities of junior Resident Project Representatives and Construction Inspectors, testing services and subconsultantsPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) license or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) certificationAbility to interpret construction schedulesAbility to problem-solve and provide possible solutions to the engineerThorough knowledge of materials, means, methods and equipment used on multi-disciplinary construction projects.Experience with construction scheduling, cost controls, and quality (quality control/quality assurance).Experience with preparing Daily Reports, Nonconformance Notifications, and other reports or documentation.Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, construction document management platforms, Microsoft Project, Primavera,



or similar software packages used on design and construction projects.First Aid / CPR/AED certification.Local candidates are preferred.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experienceA minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projectsMust have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing constructionMust possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documentsMust be able to work in a team environmentMust be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packagesMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
