Job Title: Compassionate Day Caregiver for Elderly Father (Richmond, BC)
Location: Richmond, British Columbia
Schedule: Part time | 5 days a week | 4 hours per day (9AM-1PM Daytime)
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
About Us:

We are a loving family based in Richmond, BC, seeking a kind, reliable, and responsible caregiver to assist my 89-year-old father during the day. He has mobility constraints due to Parkinson's disease, but remains engaged and enjoys being active within his limits.

Key Responsibilities:

- Mobility Support: Safely assist with transfers to and from bed/commode chair/wheelchair.
- Outings & Exercise: Accompany him in his wheelchair to the downstairs park for sunshine and fresh air, and assist him with light, safe exercises in our building's gym.
- Personal Care: Assist with basic personal hygiene and daily routine tasks.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare light, nutritious daytime meals.
- Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversation, provide companionship, and keep him socially stimulated.
- Light Housekeeping and Laundry if needed





The Ideal Candidate:

- Sincerely enjoys working with seniors and have a genuine desire to help others.
- Is highly reliable, patient, compassionate, and proactive in engaging clients in gentle activities.
- Possesses good communication skills.
- Holds a valid First Aid/CPR certification (or equivalent safety training) and demonstrates sound judgment in various situations.
- Experience caring for individuals with Parkinson's disease is a major asset.
