Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is empathetic, highly skilled, and passionate about delivering quality psychiatric care in a private practice setting. Subspecialties in child/adolescent psychiatry or addiction medicine would be an asset.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments

Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including medication management and supportive therapy

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers,



and other healthcare professionals as needed

Option to participate in supervision, case consultations, or peer support

Qualifications

MD from an accredited medical school

Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency

Active, unrestricted medical license in Nova Scotia or ability to obtain one

Experience in private practice, outpatient care, or telepsychiatry preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
