Job Overview

We are seeking a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse to join Seymour Health Centre at our Mohs and Dermatology Clinic in Richmond.

Regular shifts are Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required depending on patient care and clinic needs.

The LPN will support physicians and the clinical team with patient care before, during, and after Mohs procedures. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable working in a fast-paced procedural environment, and able to provide professional and compassionate patient care.

The LPN practices collaboratively as a member of an interprofessional team within the Scope of Practice and Professional/Practice Standards established by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

QualificationsEducation & Experience

- Graduation from a recognized Practical Nursing program.
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with BCCNM.
- Previous LPN experience in a medical/surgical, dermatology, procedural, ambulatory care, or wound care setting is preferred.
- Experience assisting with minor surgical procedures, wound care, dressing changes, or post-operative care is considered an asset.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.

Knowledge & Abilities

- Knowledge and practice within the standards and scope of practice established by BCCNM.
- Strong clinical assessment and basic wound care skills.
- Demonstrated ability to assist physicians with clinical and procedural care.




- Ability to prepare patients, treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies for Mohs and dermatology procedures.
- Ability to provide clear post-procedure and wound care instructions to patients.
- Demonstrated ability to recognize and appropriately report changes in a patient’s condition.
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with dermatologists, Mohs surgeons, nurses, MOAs, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism, initiative, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently within the LPN scope of practice.
- Ability to manage multiple patients and competing priorities throughout the clinic day.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and accurate clinical documentation.
- Knowledge and experience using electronic medical records and basic computer programs, including Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Demonstrated skill in the safe use of applicable clinical equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Knowledge of infection prevention, cleaning, and sterilization practices.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Willingness and availability to work occasional overtime when required to support patient care and clinic operations.
