HeadHunting Inc. is currently recruiting experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for opportunities within senior living and continuing care communities across British Columbia.

We are looking for compassionate nurses who are comfortable working with elderly and disabled residents and who can combine strong clinical nursing skills with leadership, resident advocacy, medication management and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Vernon | Penticton | Gibsons | Salmon Arm | Kelowna | New Westminster.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide the full components of nursing care expected of an LPN, including hands-on resident care.
- Work within the LPN scope of practice and applicable provincial legislation.
- Assess residents and ensure care plans remain current and accurately reflect resident needs.
- Communicate changes in resident condition to the appropriate RN, physician, family/guardian and interdisciplinary team.
- Administer and monitor medications according to established medication procedures.
- Participate in admissions, discharges and resident care conferences.
- Assist with the supervision and coordination of resident care assignments.
- Support and coach care staff as appropriate.
- Advocate for residents and their care needs.




- Identify and respond promptly to safety and risk-management concerns.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation that meets organizational, legislative and skilled standards.
- Respond to changing resident needs and unit priorities.
- Follow infection prevention and control practices.
- Promote resident choice, dignity, privacy, independence and individuality.

Qualifications

- Licensed Practical Nurse Certificate.
- Current registration and authorization for full scope of practice with the applicable provincial regulatory body.
- Current CPR/First Aid.
- Dementia care training is considered an asset.
- Experience working with elderly and/or disabled residents preferred.
- Experience communicating with families, guardians and healthcare professionals is an asset.
- Computer experience is an asset.
- Strong communication, leadership, organization and problem-solving abilities.

Pay: $42.00-$49.00 per hour
