Brake Operator

PK Metal works Ltd. is a metal service and fabricating shop with 26 years of service located in Surrey, BC.

General responsibilities:
- Shear material as per lists and direction

- Perform production bending

- Punch/Drill holes prior to bending

- Change dies on brake press

- Cope corners on pans etc.

- Perform basic layout

- Control crops

- Perform repetitive operations

-Keep work areas clean, swept and crop plate and tools neatly organized

Type of Equipment:

-Brakes and presses, Shears, Cutting torches, Grinders, Drills, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines

Area of Specialization:

-Structural metal or steel, Plate work

Specific Skills:

Lay out reference points and patterns, Assemble/ fit plates and sections to form structures

Essential skills





-Ability to communicate in English, write English, read English

-Math skills, excellent communications skills, able to Work with others, Problem solving, Job task planning and organizing, critical thinking, significant use of memory, Continuous learning

Education:

-Completion of High School

Experience:

-2-4years
