About the Role

The Steward is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and back-of-house environment while supporting the culinary team in delivering high-quality service. The Steward ensures that dishes, kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas are properly cleaned, sanitized, and readily available for use.

The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, detail-focused, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

What You’ll Do

- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans, kitchen equipment, and other food-service items.
- Operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, dishwashing areas, floors, storage areas, and service areas.
- Ensure clean equipment, utensils, and supplies are available to culinary and food-service teams when needed.
- Properly sort and dispose of garbage, recycling, and food waste in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Assist with maintaining clean and organized garbage and recycling areas.
- Support kitchen colleagues with basic cleaning, food preparation assistance, and other duties as assigned.




- Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies and deliveries when required.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Report damaged equipment, maintenance concerns, spills, hazards, or other safety issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain a professional and respectful working relationship with culinary, restaurant, banquet, and hotel teams.
- Support the hotel’s commitment to exceptional service and a positive workplace environment.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Chef, Supervisor, or management.

About You

- Previous dishwashing experience in a hotel or restaurant environment is an asset
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Solid attention to cleanliness and detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to take initiative
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
