Erin Mills Smiles Dentistry Part of Smiles Of Canada is looking for an experienced, motivated, and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team.

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and dedicated hygienist who is passionate about providing excellent patient care, promoting oral health, and building strong relationships with patients. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment while collaborating with the dental team.

Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, including dental cleanings, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
- Perform periodontal assessments, charting, and oral health screenings.
- Take and review dental radiographs as permitted within the scope of practice and office protocols.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and maintaining good oral health.
- Develop and provide personalized hygiene treatment recommendations based on patient needs.
- Identify and communicate periodontal concerns and other oral health conditions to the dentist.
- Work closely with the dentist and clinical team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with patients and provide a comfortable, positive experience.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and clinical documentation.
- Follow all infection prevention and control protocols and maintain a clean, organized treatment room.




- Ensure all dental hygiene instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained.
- Provide a high standard of patient care while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Stay current with dental hygiene practices, clinical guidelines, and continuing education.

Qualifications

- Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist in a dental office.
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, periodontal health, and preventive dentistry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and professional approach to patient care.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the dentist and clinical team.
- Solid attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with dental practice management software such as Oryx or similar programs is an asset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
