We are a subcontractor for Irving Shipbuilding, we are responsible for the accommodation and outfitting of vessels. Our main supplier is our parent company in Spain.

Requirements:

- Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience in a similar position.
- Marine Carpentry or Commercial Carpentry experience 5 years plus experience.
- Motivated to learn with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Receiving experience, and computer skills will be considered assets.
- Must be able to get Government of Canada Security and Controlled Goods Clearances.

Main Duties:

- Plan the work between the different sections of the production area, in order to comply with the established costs, deadlines and quality, optimizing the processes and trying to provide regular and reliable information to the different departments that require it.
- Supervise and manage the people under his charge, based on common human resources policies in people management, in order to identify potential, develop it and make objective decisions that reinforce mutual commitment.
- Plan hiring needs, taking into account the planning of production processes, absenteeism, etc.
- Manage in coordination with the PM, site managers and production manager, the people who must be moved to the site, depending on the technical requirements and deadlines of the works.
- Coordinate subcontracted works, ensuring compliance with the agreed obligations in all areas: (health and safety, labor, workplace, quality, costs, deadlines, etc.). Vacation coordination for medium/long term projects.




- Coordinate with the maintenance area the preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery, auxiliary means, fleet and production facilities, planned and executed, according to the manufacturer's requirements and organizational needs; with own resources or by subcontracting specialized companies.
- Guarantee the delivery of the product, under the established quality standards, costs and agreed deadlines. Reception and control of the material on site.

Salary will be fixed according to the candidate’s experience.

Pay: $40.00-$46.00 per hour
