Straight Day Shift | Monday to Friday

Whelan Truck Repair is looking for an experienced Day Shift Shop Foreman to lead our busy heavy-duty truck and trailer repair shop.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who knows the trade, communicates clearly, and can keep technicians productive, organized, and accountable. You’ll coordinate the daily workload, support the technicians, and ensure repairs are completed properly and on schedule.

Responsibilities

- Organize and assign work to technicians
- Monitor job progress, productivity, and shop utilization
- Keep repairs moving and minimize downtime between jobs
- Support technicians with diagnostics and repair decisions
- Review technician stories, labour times, and parts usage
- Ensure service orders are complete and accurate
- Confirm inspections and action items are properly documented
- Maintain quality standards and reduce comebacks
- Communicate repair progress and concerns to the Service Manager
- Enforce company procedures, safety requirements, and shop standards
- Coach technicians and address performance issues when necessary
- Maintain a clean, professional, and organized shop

What We’re Looking For

- Licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician




- Previous foreman, lead-hand, or shop-management experience preferred
- Solid knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer repairs
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Comfortable holding employees accountable
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Able to make decisions and keep a busy shop moving
- Experience with Fullbay or similar shop-management software is an asset
- Valid driver’s licence

Pay: $45.00-$48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 43.5 per week
