ABOUT THE ROLE

As the face of the Destination: Deerfoot City brand, the Guest Experience team plays a vital role in creating memorable and welcoming experiences for our guests. Guest Experience Ambassadors provide friendly, qualified support throughout the centre, ensuring guests feel welcomed, informed, and supported from arrival through their visit.

During the Holiday Season, Ambassadors will play an integral role in delivering the Santa Experience, supporting a variety of program operations, including guest check-in, assisting Santa and the photography team, onsite photo printing, programming, guest flow,



and holiday activities. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires flexibility, teamwork, fast learning, strong attention to detail, and a genuine ability to create positive experiences for children and families.

Primary Job Responsibilities

- Support the Guest Experience Team Lead and Photography Team in delivering the Santa Experience Program, including welcoming guests, managing appointment check-ins, operating onsite photo printing, and supporting the execution of events and programming.
- Work closely with the Marketing Team to set up, maintain, and dismantle the complete Santa Experience, ensuring all decor, signage, guest areas, and programming spaces are prepared to deliver a festive, welcoming, and engaging experience for guests.
- Maintain the Santa Experience space to a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
- Share observations and feedback with the Guest Experience Team Lead to help identify successes, address challenges, and improve the overall Santa Experience.
- Act as a Deerfoot City Ambassador by staying informed on centre events, programming, retailers, and amenities, and providing guests with accurate, timely, and helpful information.
- Provide professional customer support and effectively manage inquiries and concerns through phone, email,



and in-person interactions.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest experience.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to scheduled shifts and program responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the flexibility to seamlessly transition between roles and tasks to support a smooth and welcoming guest experience.
- Comfortable using technology with the ability to quickly learn and use computers, booking systems, printers, and other program technology.
- Team-oriented and dependable, with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute wherever needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a diverse range of audiences.

Required Training and Experience

- Minimum 1-2 year of experience in a customer-facing role preferred.
- Previous retail, hospitality, recreation, events, or guest experience is an asset.
- Experience working with children and families is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with strong computer, typing, and digital skills.
- Experience using point-of-sale systems, booking platforms, printers, cameras, or other customer-facing technology is an asset.

Working Conditions

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with shifts scheduled across daytime, evening, and weekend hours. Flexibility is required, and successful candidates must be available to work a combination of weekday, evening, and weekend shifts throughout the seasonal program.

Wage: $18.25/hour
